The Sandman: Release Date, Cast, Trailer and All You Need to Know!

The Sandman, a series adapted from the comic books of Neil Gaiman and Allan Heinberg, will premiere on Netflix on August 5. It will be released at 3 A.M. ET/12 A.M. PT on Friday. Netflix will also release all the episodes together on the same day.
What is the synopsis of The Sandman Series?
Season 1 will cover the story of Volume 1: Preludes and Nocturnes, where Burgess will capture Dream in an occult ritual. He was captured for 105 years in the 1900s and, after a long time, escaped in 2021. The character Dream, or Morpheus, is the Lord of Dreams. He also has brothers and sisters who, like Dream, portray allegorical characters like Destiny, Death, Destruction, Desire, Delirium, and Despair.
While captured, everything in his Dreaming Realm falls out of order. To correct this chaos, he goes on a journey to find his totems, like a ruby, a pouch of sand, and a helm. His journey will bring out many characters, like Delirium and Lucifer.

Who’s the star cast of the Sandman series?
The cast has versatile and talented actors. Tom Sturridge will play the character of Lord Of Dreams, aka Sandman. Gwendoline Christie will play Lucifer; Lucienne, the guardian of the realm of Dream and a librarian, by Vivienne Acheampong; the Corinthian, a nightmare running loose in the world, by Boyd Holbrook; Asim Chaudhry and Sanjeev Bhaskar as Abel and Cain, the most loyal subjects and residents of the Dream realm.
Allan Heinberg, who gave the world Wonder Woman and Grey’s Anatomy, is the showrunner. Neil Gaiman has played a huge role in the making of the series. He also contributed to every step of the creative process of the script for The Sandman. With the support of Warner Bros. Television, David S. Goyer is the executive producer of this series.
He is famous for his science fiction and dark fantasy literature. In addition, he wrote many best-selling novels. The Sandman comic books, published by DC Comics in 1989, ran for a whopping 75 issues.
Is the trailer for the Sandman series out yet?
Netflix released a short trailer to give a glimpse of the story of Dream. Added to that, a short teaser released showing an occult ritual for summoning and capturing dreams. Netflix also released a behind-the-scenes video along with Gaiman’s comments on the series.
At the Comic-Con 2022 event, Netflix released a full-length trailer where Dream can be seen fighting with The Corinthian. The trailer also gives a glimpse of other characters like Death, Despair, and Desire.
