The Smokey Treats Fusion BBQ, the newest fast-casual Fusion BBQ joint of the River Fall that had opened the doors at the 127 North Main Street in Riverwalk Square Building on 12th November with the plans for Grand Opening celebration during this summer. The owner named Matthew Beranek had taken the common BBQ concept of handling the authentic smoked meats from food truck. He also had made the leap to brick as well as mortar, the fast-casual restaurant in the past November by opening with limited menu and hours during the first fewer weeks of operation.

Also, Matthew grouped with the owner of the Croix Valley Foods named Damon Holter, a Hudson – the WI-based manufacturer for award winning barbecue seasonings and sauces, to make a partnership in newer restaurant, where they will be serving what they call the Contemporary Fusion BBQ by featuring globally-inspired and ethnic fusion BBQ dishes as well as a unique menu outlining the products and ingredients from several local breweries, bakeries, breweries and meat market.

Beranek said that the Smokey Treats had been a dream of him for several years. He had wanted to bring his love for the BBQ to the community as well as the response had exceeded his demand and expectations. That newer restaurant was only the starting of their plan to become a chain of the Smokey Treats locations throughout the region in years to come. He also said that the opening with limited menu for first fewer weeks had allowed them to train their staff properly, to get their feet wet as well as to do right things to enhance the experience of the guests.
