What is the synopsis of Night Sky?

The series talks about an aging couple facing adversities and challenges. Sissy Spacek and J.K. Simmons star as Irene and Franklin York. They are a lovely couple living out their twilight years in small-town Indiana. The Yorks have built an effortless intimacy. In the Yorks’ backyard shed, a hidden staircase leads to an ancient portal.

The Yorks make regular interstellar trips. They have carefully guarded their secret ever since. Then, an enigmatic young man enters their life. The Yorks’ quiet existence becomes chaotic. They thought they knew the mysterious chamber very well. But it turns out to be much more than they could ever imagine.

Sissy Spacek is Irene York, an English teacher, and Franklin’s wife. And J. K. Simmons as Franklin York, a former woodworker and Irene’s husband for over 50 years. Chai Hansen is playing Jude, an enigmatic young man. Adam Bartley will also be taking the role of Byron, the Yorks’ neighbor.

Julieta Zylberberg as Stella is playing as a mother in Argentina. Rocío Hernández as Toni, Stella’s shy daughter. Kiah McKirnan as Denise, a graduate student, and the Yorks’ granddaughter Beth Lake will be taking the role of Chandra. She is a former student of Irene.
