NACCE Awards San Diego Community College District Chancellor Constance Carroll Lifetime Achievement Award

NACCE (The National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship) which is the leading organization of the nation having focused on advancing the entrepreneurship via community colleges, has awarded a great PhD holder Constance Carroll. She is the 2019 Lifetime Achievement Award winner in the annual conference in California, Newport Beach. She was a Chancellor of San Diego Community College District for 15 years and has demonstrated a great entrepreneurial leadership approach which grasps the inclusion and empowerment. The President and CEO named Rebecca Corbin said that the Lifetime Achievement Award of NACCE had recognized the inventive leadership as well as the dedication to the local communities plus was presented to the individual who could achieve the entrepreneurial success and could play an important role in community via the involvement as well as the support of community as well as philanthropic activities. Rebecca added that the selection of the Chancellor Carroll of that year was based on several contributions that she had made to the local communities as well as to the students served be colleges in that district.

SDCCD which is the 2nd biggest community college district across California and the 6th biggest in the entire US, serves around 100,000 students annually. The achievements of Carroll include a developed emphasis on diversity and equity as well. Besides, it also supports the services to make ensure the success of the students. Carroll stated that their colleges had food pantries as well as weekly market of the farmers to aid the students having food insecurities. They also provided services for the under-supported students in form of counseling group, study and even monitoring services. She also said that they wanted to hire more faculty from more backgrounds and heritages with a lot of diversity and would also continue to perform anything that they could to provide their students.
