‘Money Heist’ Comes Back to Screen for One Last Season!

Money Heist Season 5

Created by Álex Pina, “Money Heist” is a Spanish heist crime drama series that follows a group of very peculiar robbers who have assaulted the Factory of Moneda and Timbre to carry out the most perfect robbery in the history of Spain and taking home 2,400 million euros.

Volume 1 of the final season premieres Friday, September 3, 2021, on Netflix.

According to the synopsis from Netflix, the Professor’s gang is in a difficult position they can’t get out of—really. For the first time perhaps ever, the Professor doesn’t have an escape route.

The gang has been shut in the Bank of Spain for over 100 hours. They have managed to rescue Lisbon, but their darkest moment is upon them after losing one of their own. The Professor has been captured by Sierra and, for the first time, doesn’t have an escape plan. Just when it seems like nothing else could go wrong, an enemy comes on the scene that is much more powerful than any they’ve faced: the army. The end of the greatest heist in history is approaching, and what began as a robbery will turn into a war,” the plot summary reads.

The full list of returning cast members includes; Úrsula Corberó (Tokyo), Álvaro Morte (The Professor), Itziar Ituño (Lisbon), Miguel Herrán (Rio), Jaime Lorente (Denver), Esther Acebo (Stockholm), Enrique Arce (Arturo), Darko Peric (Helsinki), Hovik Keuchkerian (Bogotá), Luka Peros (Marseille), Belén Cuesta (Manila), Fernando Cayo (Coronel Tamayo), Rodrigo de la Serna (Palermo), Najwa Nimri (Inspector Sierra), José Manuel Poga (Gandía), and Pedro Alonso (Berlín).

Meanwhile, Netflix has also announced that Sky Rojo star Miguel Ángel Silvestre is joining the Money Heist cast as René, the original love of Tokyo, who was killed in a botched robbery before the first-ever episode.
