The tensions between World and Iran have come at an all-time high because of recent Saudi Aramco attacks which took place in Saudi Arabia. Not only were these attacks on a highly-secure place in the Kingdom, but the place was also very important because of oil supply to the world. These attacks have meant that the oil prices have soared as well as the supply of oil from Saudi Arabia has been reduced by half. Upon investigation, Saudi Arabia has said that they believe Iran is behind the attacks.

Now, the US government has also said that they believe Iran is behind these attacks and they have also sent their troops to Saudi Arabia. Apart from that, the UK has also condemned the attacks and blamed Iran for the oil attacks carried out by drones primarily. However, we also know that Iran is not a country which will back down quite easily and the same has been done by Iran.

Foreign Minister of Iran said “We are resisting unprovoked aggression by the United States,” “I can assure you that the United States will not be able to bring us to our knees through pressure.” Zarif also added that “Abandon the illusion that Iran can be defeated by pressure,” Iran’s Foreign Minister is in the US because of the upcoming United Nations General Assembly where he will try to convince world leaders about the US sanctions on Iran. Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani is expected to ‘introduce a new peace plan for the Persian Gulf region’.

Iran’s Foreign Minister also spoke about allegations of Iran’s hand behind the oil attacks. He said “I know that Iran didn’t have anything to do with it. Who did it? I just take the Yemeni claim at face value. If you want to go to conspiracy theory and ask who had an interest in doing that, there’d be a lot of people in the list of interested participants — not least of which the United States and Israel.”
